Danceable, forward-thinking throughout and utterly optimistic

In her role as producer, Björk invited a number of renowned artists and musicians into the studio to work with her on the songs. "Volta" showcases some of Björk's most interesting collaborations to date, including Anthony Hegarty (Anthony And The Johnsons) and Timbaland (Jay-Z, Missy Elliott etc). Other contributing artists include electro pioneer Mark Bell of LFO and two very special drummers - Chris Corsano (the Impro drummer who has worked with Sonic Youth, among others) and Brian Chippendale of Lightening Bolt

Björk will also present two renowned African artists/bands: Toumani Diabate and Konono N°1, and she has also assembled her own ten-piece wind orchestra of Icelandic musicians.
